A 12-week programme combining non-contact boxing, strength training, and occupational therapy principles. Built by someone who's been there.

Off The Canvas CIC was founded by Luis Palmer: HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist, ex-professional boxer, coach, and father of four. For years, boxing shaped how he understood discipline, resilience, and control. Then a traumatic brain injury forced a complete rethinking of identity, purpose, and what recovery actually means.
TBI doesn't only affect the body. It shakes confidence, tests mental health, and leaves you making sense of a life you never expected. Luis knows that space: the slow progress, the uncertainty, the weight of getting through the day. He also knows recovery is possible when people are met with the right support and environment.
OTC is where clinical training and lived experience meet. A space that brings together rehabilitation, movement, mental wellbeing, and community for people who have been knocked down and are ready to rebuild.
"You don't have to be a fighter to get off the canvas. You just have to get up."
We operate a tiered pricing model to ensure the programme is accessible regardless of income. Sponsored places are funded by full-price participants and external partners.
